Premium Outlets

Why do people come to Las Vegas? Would you be surprised to know that more people state shopping to be the number one reason, more so than gambling or entertainment. It’s true, at least according to surveys held every year by the Las Vegas Visitor’s and Convention Bureau. There is no limit to the number of chic, hip, speciality and outlet stores that cater to the desires of visitors from across the globe.

Premium Outlets

The greatest change is from one of Las Vegas major outlet malls.  In rather hush-hush fashion, the Las Vegas Outlet Center went through a 66,092-sq ft expansion.  At the same time, work upgraded much of the existing interior, exterior and parking facilities. Finally in March 2011, Simon Property Group, Inc. unveiled the new name as Las Vegas Premium Outlets South. New stores involved in the expansion include Guess, New Balance, True Religion and Under Armour, with others to follow in the coming months.

The improvements mean Premium Outlets South has 140 outlet stores while its sister property, Premium Outlets North, has 150 stores. South, though, has a huge advantage in that it is completely covered and air-conditioned. North is uncovered and shoppers have to brave the desert heat and often blowing sand in search of bargains.
