What to eat

If they come, they will eat … and the Las Vegas resorts pull out all the stops to keep their visitors happy with great food, innovative dishes and tantalising venues.

The entrance to Treasure Island’s Khotan is flanked by massive jade carvings made thousands of years ago in China. One floor up and seated on a patio overlooking Treasure Island’s Lagoon and a ringside seat for the Sirens of TIshow, Khotan is a great place to watch the Las Vegas Strip go by. Khotan is a casual but upscale Asian bistro featuring foods with inspiration from China, Japan, Thailand and Indonesia. Service is impeccable, food outstanding and the sake and wine menu seems to go on for ever.

PBR Rock Bar and Grill

A new addition at the Miracle Mile Shops, PBR puts a modern fusion spin on a rock-and-roll bar. It’s dark with heavy wood furniture inside, daquiries fly out of the bar and a mechanical bull draws contestants willing to risk hide and limb. The kitchen serves Smoked-chicken gumbo and Southern cupcake skewers – what the owner calls ‘comfort food with a twist’. Better yet is the 109 flat screen TVs scattered throughout the PBR, playing almost any sporting event imaginable, including English Premier League football. The best part is the patio that overlooks the Strip, with great views of the Bellagio fountains.

Sea – The Thai Experience

Almost lost in the culinary hype of Las Vegas, one small corner of Bally’s is a fantastic retreat from the insanity of Sin City. The third location of a restaurant made famous in Sex and the City shows and movies, it offers a fresh and exotic feel. It melds clean, modern lines with traditional Buddhist themes in its décor. Meanwhile a diverse menu offers guests a variety of specialty Thai and Vietnamese dishes including Grilled lemongrass chickenTamarind whole fish,Classic pork chopVolcanic chicken and Pineapple curry duck.
